Priscilla Sundblom, 90, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2011 at the Legacy House in Bountiful, Utah, of causes incident to Alzheimer's disease.

She was the oldest child, born May 12, 1921 to Clarence and Eunice Katherine Killian Sheen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; her four brothers: Kenneth, Richard, Orlynn and Calvin; and her sister, LaVonda Anderson. She grew up in Salem, Utah.

She married Gordon Leigh Mendenhall on December 4, 1936, later divorced. She married John Lawrence Sundblom on December 23, 1968 and was sealed to him in the Provo Temple on February 19, 1981.

She is survived by her three children: Gordon Dean Mendenhall (Jackie), Paul Kent Mendenhall (Judy), and Kathryn Mann (Craig); three stepchildren: Larry Sundblom (Marge), Ben Sundblom (Kathy) and Kaye Elliott (Bob); 34 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She lived in Heber City, Utah for more than 40 years and was the secretary at Wasatch Junior High School for 23 years. After retiring she moved back to Salem.

Priscilla served in many callings in the LDS Church. She served in Relief Society, Primary, Mutual, and Sunday School both in the Ward and in the Stake. She served an 18 month mission to the Washington D.C. Temple as an ordinance worker and Secretary to the Temple President.

She enjoyed gardening, reading, sewing, knitting and having lots of fun with her grandchildren. She knew how to can fruits and vegetables, make homemade bread and the BEST chocolate chip cookies.

Priscilla was a good example and a great friend to many. We shall miss her!

The family thanks the staff of the Cottage at Legacy House Assisted Living in Bountiful and Dr. Sumati Gupta with University of Utah Health Care.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 27, 2011 at 12 noon at the Knoll Park Chapel located at 160 South 460 West in Salem, Utah. A viewing will be held at the church prior to the funeral services from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Interment will be at the Salem City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting contributions to The Alzheimer's Association.
