William Voorhees Jr. was born on April 25, 1777. He was the son of William Voorhees Sr. and Catherine Hance. William Voorhees was baptized on September 14, 1777 at Old Tennent Church, Tennent, Monmouth County, New Jersey. William married Alche Van Doren, daughter of William Van Doren and Maria Wyckoff, on June 2, 1811. William Voorhees died on October 11, 1830 at Lysander, Onondaga County, New York, at age 53. William was buried on October 11, 1830 at Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Plainville, Onondaga County, New York.
