Julius Evinson, 9m, was traveling third class with his parents, Eli and Fanny Evinson aboard the Empress of Ireland. Eli had immigrated from Russia to England where he was married. He later took his wife to Winnipeg, where their son, Julius, was born.
Both Julius and his father, Eli, were lost in the disaster. Julius's body was recovered and is buried in a mass grave. Fanny was saved and later remarried.
