Houma, Terrebonne Parish, LA Courier August 07. 2004 10:37PM Reginald "Reggie" Fanguy Sr., 70, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Chauvin, died at 10:24 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in St. Elie Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Theresa Pinel Fanguy; three sons, Terry and wife, Debra, Rusty and companion, Stacey, and Reginald Jr. and Annette; three daughters, Mona Fanguy and companion, Randy Greer, Tina Fanguy and Trudy Labat and husband, Steve; two sisters, Della Theriot and Rita Authement; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Naquin; his father, Sylvester Fanguy; four brothers, Celestin "Bob", Ardis "Dis", Jessie and Dudley Fanguy; and one sister, Alberta F. Martin. He was a retired Deputy Marshall Officer with Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office for 16 years and was a carpenter with Fanguy Brothers. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
