Edna was ten years old, already attending school and recovering from the measles, when her sister Nelle was born and their mother, Libby Clayton Baumgartner, died, from a combination of mourning the death of her eldest surviving daughter Winnie, childbirth, and a severe case of the measles which may have complicated matters in the epidemic of the times resulting in pneumonia.

Edna married Fred Harrison Wells of Monroe, the son of Joshua and Alice Kleckner Wells, April 6th, 1912. They had one child, Donald F. Wells who was born on the 27th of March, 1913. Don & Lucille (Wozniak) Wells, married January 3rd, 1940, are buried along with Fred & Edna in the Wells family plot at Greenwood Cemetery in Monroe.

Long after Fred's death, Edna married a widower, Glenn Morris King, in Freeport, Stephenson County, Illinois, on April 15th, 1955. Glenn died in July of 1958 and while not certain, I believe is buried in Freeport.
