DELPHINE LONE, 87, of West Melbourne, FL died at home. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps and was in the U.S. Army during the Battle of the Bulge, where he received a Purple Heart. He was retired from Civil Service at Patrick Air Force Base and Harris Corp and was one of the original members of the 'Real Eight Company', who found the Spanish treasure near the Sebastian Inlet beginning in the late 1950's. He is survived by daughters, Sandra, Patricia, Sharon, Peaches, Cheri and Deana; sisters, Deanie Taylor and Doris Holtzclaw. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara and daughter, Barbara Ann. Services will be held on May 11, 2011 in the chapel at Fountainhead Funeral Home in Palm Bay, FL. Published in FLORIDA TODAY on May 9, 2011.
