Actress. Born Florence Davenport Rice in Cleveland, Ohio, she launched her career as a Broadway performer in the 1920s and was signed to MGM Studios in the early 1930s. Her movie credits included "Fugitive Lady" (1934), "Sworn Enemy" (1936), "Double Wedding" (1937), "At the Circus" (1939), "Girl in 313" (1940), "Doctors Don't Tell" (1941) and "The Ghost and the Guest" (1942). She retired from films in 1943 and was also the daughter of legendary sports journalist, Grantland Rice. She died of lung cancer in Honolulu, Hawaii.
