Services for Lady Emma (Young) Parker, who died at Hot Springs, SD, Wednesday, November 6, 1968, will be Saturday, at McColley's Chapel with the Rev. Peter Dahlberg officiating. Burial will be in the Custer Cemetery.
Mrs. Parker was born to Samuel Allen and Sophia Amelia (Steiger) Young, February 20, 1871, at Winchester, IA.
She was married to Charles Ambrose Parker December 20, 1885, in Sundance, WY. She spent most of her life in Custer, but for the last two years lived in Hot Springs. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a daughter, Lessie, of Hot Springs; a son Charles, of Peoria, AZ; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, and her parents.
