Carol Lawrence(1937 - 2011)
Carol Lawrence, nee Cooper, 74, of Belleville, Ill., born Sunday, Feb. 28, 1937, in McDonald, Pa., died Friday, April 29, 2011 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville with all her family by her side.
Mrs. Lawrence was retired as an office manager for Vandiver Agency, where she worked for 28 years. She was a member of First United Presbyterian, Presbyterian Women, and Queen City Chapter 697 OES. Carol enjoyed her annual trip to Myrtle Beach and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking which her family will dearly miss.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph A. and Dorothy, nee Carl, Cooper, Sr.; and her son, David A. Lawrence.
Surviving are her husband, John "Jack" Lawrence to whom she was married to for 56 years; daughter, Mary Jane (Terry) Dashner of Red Bud, Ill.; son, Dean (Diane) Lawrence of Millstadt, Ill.; brothers, Joseph A. (Shirley) Cooper, Jr., of Transfer, Pa., and Neil (Kerry) Cooper of Hickory, Pa.; grandchildren, Cole Joseph Lawrence, and Jack Thomas Lawrence; and nieces, Amy Cooper Brooks, and Kristen Tonarelli.

Visitation: Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday, May 1, 2011 at the Kurrus Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill., and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2011 at the First United Presbyterian Church, Belleville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2011 at First United Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Alex Hendrickson officiating. Interment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Ill.
