He was a clerk for the Magistrate and Probate Court in Chariton County for 28 years before retiring in 1975. He was a member of the Keytesville United Methodist Church, Warren Masonic Lodge, and served in the US Navy during WW II.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Neva Reece and Rev. Gretchen Williams.
