Louise Pate Griffey, 86, of Madisonville, KY, died at 10:35 P.M. Saturday, May 3, 2008, at NHC Healthcare in Madisonville.
Born March 23, 1922 in Madisonville, she was the daughter of the late David Pate and Bonnie Vera Brinkley Pate. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James Howard Griffey, o Feb. 12, 1981.
Mrs. Griffey was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was a piano teacher for most of her life.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Tim & Valerie Griffey of Madisonville; two grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, David & Julie Griffey and Jeff & Cara Griffey and four great grandchildren, Kalli, Hailey, Sarah and Pate Griffey.
Funeral services will be graveside on Monday, May 5, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Odd Fellows Cemetery with her grandson David Griffey officiating.
Visitation will be Monday from 11:30 A.M. until 1:30 P.M. at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home.
Memorials may take the form of donations to the National Parkinson's Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
