Anna Gaddini
A requiem Mass will be celebrated at 6 p.m. today, April 14, at St. Jude Catholic Church in Eugene for Anna Gaddini of Eugene, who died April 3 of age-related causes. She was 88. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plains, Ill.
She was born Sept. 25, 1922, in Chicago to Gino and Eginia Biagi Nanni. She married Charles Gaddini in January 1944 in Chicago. He died previously.
She was the first in her family to earn a high school diploma in the United States. She worked at Marshall Field in downtown Chicago. She also was a secretary for the War Department.
Survivors include a son, Frank Gaddini of Eugene; a sister, Lily Menconi of Hinsdale, Ill.; and four grandsons. A daughter, Laura Sacolick, died previously.
