Mr. Jewell Byrd, 69, of Kingdom City died Monday evening, September 10, 1973, at the Callaway Memorial Hospital.
Jewell was born in Williamsburg, Missouri on September 26, 1912, the son of Peter and Martha (Dudley) Byrd. He was united in marriage to Della Mae (Woods) Byrd and she survives his passing.
Services will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday at the Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, with burial in Auxvasse Cemetary.
Mr. Byrd is survived by his wife of thirty-six years, Della; two daughters, Carolyn Moon of Fulton and Phillis Byrd of the home in Kingdom City; brother, Lewis Byrd and a sister, Mrs. Glenwood (Hazel) Knipp.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy Byrd, Harry Byrd and Nollie Byrd.
Jewell had a gas station and repair garage in Kingdom City for many years.
