DIEBOLT BALTZLI CALLED BY DEATH
Diebolt Baltzli died at 8:20 o'clock last night at his home, No 276 East Third Street, after a several years illness with age infirmities. Mr Baltzli was a native of Alsace Lorraine, France, where he was born March 1, 1846. He was united in marriage there with Margaret Sand, who departed this life in this city March 28, 1922. The deceased came to Peru from France over forty years ago and for a number of years was employed in the old Howe factory. He leaves the following children: Mrs C A Finster, Kansas City (Missouri); Henry Baltzli of Waverly, Missouri; Gustav Baltzli and Mrs Fred Rabe of Wabash (Indiana). The deceased was a member of the Lutheran church and the funeral service will be in charge of the pastor, Rev Paul Stoeppelwerth. The burial will be in the Lutheran cemetery. The body will be held at the Fetter-Allen mortuary until the time of the funeral, the time not yet having been fixed.
