Deceased Name: Mabel Chittick, While Visiting Kin in Illinois
Mabel Clark Chittick, 88, mother-in-law of the Rev. Dr. Edward L. R. Elson, chaplain of th, U.S. Senate, died of a heart ailment May 7 while on a family visit to Flossmoor, III.

In recent years, Mrs. Chittick had lived much of the time with her daughter, Helen, and son-in-law here. She was a member of National Presbyterian Church here.

A 1910 graduate of Grinnell College in Iowa, Mrs. Chittick and her late husband, George, became early real estate developers in La Jolla, Calif. There she was active in civic and women's club affairs.

In addition to her daughter, she is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Herman C. Hoekstra, of Flossmoor; two sons, William Page, of San Diego, Calif., 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of gifts the National Presbyterian Church choir Fund.
