Born in Abbeville, he was a son of the late Frierson Brock and Elsie McConnell Brock of Honea Path. Surviving are his wife, two sons; Maxie Ray and wife Alisha Brock of Gainesville, VA., Doug and wife Sandy Brock of Honea Path.; two brothers Ronald and Donald Brock; one sister Patricia Ann Toth all of Honea Path; and three grandchildren. Haley and Colby Brock of Gainesville, VA., and Westin Brock of Honea Path.
He was a faithful member of Keowee Baptist Church where he served as deacon and taught the L.O. Ashley Sunday School Class. He served on the Pastor Search Committee and was an avid golfer and a big Gamecock fan. He played softball with the Honea Path Stingers and with Keowee Baptist Church. He was a Mason. He was retired from Duke Energy Corp., Oconee Plant. He was a family man who loved his wife of 47 years, his sons, daughter-in-laws and his grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:00P.M., September 28, 2010 at Keowee Baptist Church, with Rev. Jerry Mize, Rev. Ray Brock and Rev. Bill Ellison. Burial followed in the Keowee Baptist Church Cemetery.
