Maria has been difficult to verify, she is sometimes referenced with the name Elizabeth Maria, Maria, or Eliza. Maria Smee was born in Essex England in 1853 (verified) and was the first wife of Peter R. Miller of Bawnlea. She married Peter in 1883. I wonder how they met.

Maria and Peter had seven children.

Mary Anne Miller Cole - married William P. Cole, immigrated to Norwalk, Connecticut USA

Thomas J. Miller - killed in WWI in France fighting for Canada

Peter Miller - married Sarah Davies, immigrated to Canada

Twins:
George Miller - immigrated to Canada, served in WWI
Elizabeth Miller Dursley - immigrated to Canada married George Dursley, then immigrated to New York

Margaret born 1894

Ellen Kate Miller Anderson, buried in the new Kilcooley Cemetery with her husband and his family

Elizabeth is buried in the old graveyard, her stone was never erected or is unreadable. Or it is possible that she is buried with her family in England. I cannot find any record of her gravesite.
