Mrs. Ninville Lemons Monroe, 78, of 206 N. Driver Ave. died Sunday night in the Hillhaven – LaSallee Nursing Center after a six-week illness.

She was a native of Durham County and a former member of the First Presbyterian Church.

Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. in Hudson Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Jack C. Shore. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Cates and Mrs. Ethel Norwood, both of Durham, and Mrs. Nettie Gay of Zebulon.
