As a youth he met and fell in love with the young woman he was to marry, Donna LaRae Sperry. They were married September 24, 1947 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were the parents of five children: J Lynn, Scott, Patricia, Collette, and Alisia. Donna passed away in 1995. A year later Orlynn met and married his second love, Sherron Ogaard. They were later sealed in the Provo Temple.
Orlynn served in the Navy from 1946 to 1948. He loved to work with his hands, being employed at Geneva, Marquart, and several machine shops until he was able to open his own machine shop, Ideal Machine, in Salem. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving faithfully in many callings throughout his life. Orlynn was loved by all for his gentle nature, good humor, and pure integrity.
He is survived by his wife, Sherron; three sons, Robert Scott (Peggy) Sheen; Mark (Wanda) Keller; and Mont (Karen) Keller; five daughters, Patricia (Wilson) Hortin; Collette (Steve) Astle; Alisia (Doug) Griffith; Dawn (George) Ansley; Becky Keller; 27 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Calvin (Lily) Sheen; and his sisters, Priscilla Sundblom; and LaVonda Andersen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; his wife, Donna; sons, J Lynn Sheen; and Matt Keller; as well as a granddaughter, Camille Astle.

Friends and family may call Wednesday evening, September 24, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Walker Mortuary, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork, Utah and on Thursday morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral. Services will be held Thursday, September 25, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Salem Apple Blossom Ward Chapel, 25 West Apple Blossom Way, Salem, Utah. Burial will be in the Salem City Cemetery.
