STONEFORT, ILL. —
Thomas Craig, 77, 280 Chestnut St., Stonefort, died 4:25 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at his residence.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2011, at Felty Funeral Home, Carrier Mills, with the Rev. Keith Bunfill officiating. Burial will be in Wise-Robinson Cemetery. Visitation is 11 a.m. to service time Saturday.
He was born on May 6, 1933, in Stonefort to the late U.B. and Nellie (Simmons) Craig. He married Patricia Crews on July 22, 1950, and she preceded him in death on May 20, 2003. He later married Loretta (Dallas) Reynolds on June 12, 2005, and she survives.
He was retired from Brushy Creek Coal Mine.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, an avid hunter and a member of the Stonefort Missionary Baptist Church, Stonefort American Legion and Stonefort Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta Craig of Stonefort; three sons, Kip (Kathy) Craig of Carrier Mills, Neil "Petey" (Marti) Craig of Harrisburg and David (Trish) Craig of Simpson; a daughter, Tange (Steve) Hambleton of Stonefort; a brother, Phillip (Maryann) Craig of Carrier Mills; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Craig; a sister, Kay Taylor; and three brothers, Coy Craig, Charles Craig and Willie Craig.
