A graveside service for Ernestine Mungo Stogner, 98, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2011, in Magnolia Cemetery. The Rev. David Deming will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday, March 4, 2011, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Stogner, widow of Albert Stogner Sr., died Wednesday, March 2, 2011. Born in Lancaster Co., SC, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Connie and Hattie Pittman Mungo. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church. She was 19 when she graduated from Coker College and was employed for many years at Belk. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Surviving are her sons, Albert (Yvonne Turner) Stogner of Hartsville, SC, Ernie (Rembert Milligan) of Hartsville, SC; daughters, Patsy Sumner of Garden City, SC, Judy (Jimmy) Gainey of Hartsville, SC; sister, Sara Gardner of Kershaw, SC; grandchildren, Jim (Missy) Gainey, John (Trish) Gainey, Kenny (Mel) Sumner, Tracy (Jim) Cameron, Beth (Chris) Lehman, Dr. Kim (Eric) Underwood, Jennifer Haynes; 10 great-grandchildren.
