Sylvia Zarin of the Bronx, a homemaker and former longtime Monticello resident, d. Frid, Feb 25, 2000, at the Montefiore Medical Ctr. in the Bronx. She was 83 years of age.
The dau. of the late Louis and Golde Larznick Shklar, she was born June 2, 1916, in NYC. She was the widow of Morris Zarin.
Mrs. Zarin was a member of Workman Circle #610 in Monticello.
She is survived by two daus, Dottie Albert of Monticello and Louise Albert of State Island; four grandchildren, Deborah Russell, Kim Hanushek, Donna Lapierre and Suzie Sheflet; and six great-grandsons. She was predeceased by a son, Bernard Zarin.
Graveside Svc. and burial were held Sunday at the Workman Circle #610 Cem. in Monticello with Rabbi Irwin Tanenbaum officiating.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home in Monticello.
