"Cloyd Ogle, Jr., 60, of 2002 E. Division, La Porte, died Sunday, March 11, 1984, at 10:30 pm at La Porte Hospital. He was born April 4, 1923, in La Porte to Cloyd and Almetta (Schultz) Ogle, Sr., and lived here all his life. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, a lifetime member of the VFW, a member of the Beechwood Men's Club, past president of the Oldtimers Baseball Club and a veteran of WWII. He was the owner of Ogle's Inn.
On Jan. 12, 1944, in La Porte, he married Ruth Terry who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Randall and Jeffery, both of La Porte and Richard of Yakima, Wash.; five grandchildren; one half-sister, Donna Million of La Porte and one half-brother, Bobby Million of Manteno, Ill. One brother preceded him in death.
The funeral will be 11:30 am Wednesday at the Haverstock Funeral Home with Rev. David A. Schoop officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-9 pm Tuesday and until the time of the services Wednesday. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery."
