Wife of Aaron Benedict(6) [Aaron(5), Thomas(4), James(3), John(2), Thomas(1)], who was b. Aug. 18, 1786 in Lee, Bershire Co., Massachusetts. They married about 1805 and settled in Attica, NY. In 1825, they moved to Virgil Cortland Co., NY, and later moved to Lordstown, Trumbull Co, OH, in 1842. After her death, Aaron moved the family again in 1856 to Armada, Macomb Co., MI. He d. May or June 1863 in Macomb Co., MI.

"Genealogy of the Benedicts in America", 1969, Vol. II, by E.E. Benedict, records the above on page 101, and also states that her gravestone reads, "Achsah H., wife of Aaron Benedict, d. May 12, 1848-age 59 yrs. 6 mo. 15 da." and adds that "Achsah was a member of the Pres. and Meth. Church for 30 years. Information came from cemetery records of Ohltown, and notice of death of Western Reserve Chronicle, a Warren, O. newspaper. Her birth date was established from her son, Aaron Benedict, Jr's., diary."

"She is a direct desc. of Reginald Foster who came to America in 1638. See "Foster Genealogy.""
