Rosemary Orndorff, 84, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2011 in a local hospital.
She was a member of West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital Auxiliary "Pink Ladies" for 27 years. She loved to spend time outdoors and work in her yard. She loved animals, especially her dogs. In her later years she loved her cat, Abigail, and Rosemary always enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Orndorff of Windsor, VT; daughters, Joanna Laningham and husband, Barry of Lake Charles, LA, Cheryl Lydick and husband, Mike of Mesquite, TX; sister, Eloise Alley of Lancaster, OH; grandchildren, Bradley and Bryce Laningham of Lake Charles, Luke, Jeremy and Cassie Lydick of Dallas, TX; Erick and Jarret Orndorff of New Hampshire and Eden Orndorff of CA, as well as one great grandson, Jayden Lydick of Dallas, TX.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Jerry Orndorff; son, Robert Orndorff and brothers, Robert Schuler and Edward Schuler.
Her funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Father Keith Pellerin will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens.
