Joseph married 1st abt 1810 in Duplin Co., NC Sarah "Sally" Wallace b.a. 1788 d. 1823 in Duplin Co., NC. They had 6 children: Molsey 1811-1905 m. Henry Hodges, Owen 1812-1876 m. Rhoda Wall, Rebecca b. 1817, Ciddy b. 1819, Mary b. 1821, & Sarah "Sallie" 1823-1859 m. Needham Brown. Married 2nd 12 Jan 1824 Sylvis Sandlin. They had 11 children - those not linked & burial location unknown are Joseph b.a. 1825 d.a. 1833 Duplin Co.; Nancy b. 29 Jan 1828 d. young Duplin Co.; Louisa b. 22 Feb 1833 d. young Duplin Co. These children were probably buried in the Kennedy Family Cemetery, Beulaville now plowed under.
