Clark CROSSLAND, 66 years old of Vanderbilt, died at 4:30 o'clock Monday afternoon at his home after an extended illness.
A veteran of the Spanish War having served in the Phillipines with Company _? 20th infantry US Volunteers.
He leaves his widow, Mrs Sadie CROSSLAND and the following children, Mrs Clyde RUFFCORN of Scottdale, Mrs? Philip KEFFER? Jr of Dawson, Mrs W_me_? PATTERSON Indian, Mary Elizabeth at home of Amzi of Vanderbilt and Private Charles D with the armed forces overseas. Also surviving are his mother, Mrs Anna Eliza CROSSLAND, a half-brother, John HILLEN of Oliphant and 17 grandchildren.
Mr CROSSLAND was a member of Colonel Crawford Camp No 10_? United Spanish War Veteran of Connellsville.
A military funeral service will be held at _30 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the funeral home of Frank B Galley at Dawson, Rev J O Martin pastor of the Vanderbilt Methodist Church will be made in Cochran Cemetery in Lower Tyrone township.
