My great-grandmother, Victoria "Nanny" Moore, was the daughter of Mahlon and Amelia Harvey. At the time of her birth, her parents ran the County Poor Farm. She was known to say that she started life at the Poor Farm and would probably end there, too. Nanny's grandfather, Jacob Harvey, was one of the founders of Henry County, Indiana.

She was the wife of Jacob Sidney Moore, of New York State.

She was the mother of Dorothy Moore Mathews, Charlotte Moore Camp and Mahlon Sidney Moore.

She was the grandmother of Robert Mathews, Charlotte Mathews Stewart and Thad Camp.
