According to her obituary, Mary Urban was born on the 18th of July of 1884 in Ander, Goliad County, Texas. She was the eldest child of Mary Wilkerson and Ferdinand Urban, both natives of Texas. She married J. Fritz Bruchmiller, the son of Fritz Bruchmiller and Louise Witte Bruchmiller. Mary and J. Fritz were the parents of three children: Cecilia, Gayhart Felix (Buddy) and Isabel. Fritz and Mary lived a number of years in Victoria and in the 1920's moved to Houston, Harris County, Texas. Mary Urban Bruchmiller died in a Houston hospital at 5:20 p.m. on Sunday, the 11th of April of 1965. Her funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, the 14th of April of 1956 at the McCabe-Carruth Funeral Home with The Reverend J. M. Schedler, pastor of the Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating. She was buried beside her husband in Section Eighteen, Lot 3 of the Evergreen Cemetery in Victoria, Victoria County, Texas.
