Mae Taylor Aldred passed away on Sept. 29, 1995 at Miller's Merry Manor in Hope Indiana at the age of 86. She was born the daughter of "Finn" and Elizabeth "Lizzie"(Robertson) Taylor on April 22, 1909 In Columbus Indiana. A retired school teacher, having taught at Columbus-Petersville school, Patriot and Jeff-Craig Elementary in Switzerland County. She married James F. Aldred Jr. on Nov. 30, 1934.To this union were born two children: Mary Ann and James Edward.
She was a member of Mt. Sterling Baptist Church, Indiana Retired Teachers Association, Switzerland and Ohio County Retired Teachers Association, and Zeta-tau-alpha Sorority.
She attended Columbus High School, and Franklin College where she majored in Latin, Biology and elementary education.
