Tom Baucom Dies In Stockton Hospital
Word has been received here of the death of Tom Baucom, 70, native of Corralitos, in a Stockton hospital on Jan. 28. Funeral services were conducted in Stockton.
He was the last living child of the late Josiah and Elizabeth Baucom, pioneers of the Pajaro valley. The elder Baucom for years was driver of the Corralitos stage.
In the early days, Tom Baucom was a member of the fire department's famed hose cart team. He left for Stockton about 12 years ago. He was a brother of the late William Baucom who died three years ago and whose widow, Effie, resides at 121 Rodriguez street.
