JOHN DEVLIN
Who after honourably and respectably

Faithful, and an agreeable Wife, Thirty Three Years Three Months
And Eleven Days

---
The mother who here sleeps in death, Once breathed with active life;
A friend to friends, she also was
The prudent tender Wife.
Her Children were her chief concern,
And them she taught with care,
In wisdoms ways to walk, and shun.
Sins luring fatal snare.
Just as these plants had all grown up
Long cherished by her hand.
Death comes and from them must go,
For this her God's command.
Let this her tomb warm us, who live,
To watch the moments as they fly,
Since life is but a fleeting dream,
And all must die.
