Mrs. Jean Phipps Surrena Sheets, 60 of New Philadelphia, Ohio, formerly of Phippsville, Pa., died suddenly last night in New Philadelphia. She was stricken ill at home and was pronunced dead on arrival at Union Hospital, New Philadelphia.
She was born Aug. 23, 1919, in Clintonville and spent her early life there.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, New Philadelphia, Ohio.
Her husband, William Howard Sheets Sr., died in 1974.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lafe (Wilda Ann) Elliott in California; four sons, Daniel Surrena of Chicora R.D.3, Robert Surrena of Lorain, Ohio, and Hilton Surrena of Marietta, Ohio, and Howard Sheets of New Philidelphia, Ohio; 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Kaserman-Nayler Funeral Home, 246 E. High St., New Philadelphia, Ohio. Funeral services will be held Saturday in New Philadelphia.
Burial will be in East Avenue Cemetery, New Philadelphia.
