"Funeral services for Louis Wuest, 72, a native of the Town of Forest, who died Tuesday at his home, 431 Ninth street, Oshkosh, after several months' illness, will be held at 9:30 a.m. from the Marquardt funeral home, Oregon street, Oshkosh and at 10 a.m. from St. John's church in that city. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery, Oshkosh. Mr. Wuest was born Sept. 8, 1868, on a farm near Dotyville, and spent most of his life farming. He operated a farm in the town of Nekimi for many years, retiring in 1932 to move to Oshkosh. In June of 1898 he was married to Katherine Schneider, of St. Cloud. He was a member of the Oshkosh chapter of the Catholic Order of Foresters, the Holy Name society of St. John's church and the Happy Death society of Gesu church, Milwaukee. Surviving are his widow and nine children: Lucille, Arthur, Marie, Rose, Harold, Edgar, George, Mrs. William Hermann, and Molly, all of Oshkosh; six grandchildren; four brothers, Peter, Joseph and Vincent of Fond du Lac, and John of Dotyville; and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Deckelman and Miss Elizabeth Wuest of Fond du Lac and Mrs. Catherine Loehr of Dotyville." taken from the "Fond du Lac Commonwealth Reporter", Thursday, February 27, 1941, p. 20.

Sheboygan Press, Mar. 6, 1941, Armstrong. Mrs. Catherine Loehr and family and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Baus and family went to Oshkosh Friday where they attended the funeral of Louis Wuest, a brother of Mrs. Loehr, who formerly resided in the Town of Forest.
