Jesse Fetterman (1833-1889), was the son of Peter and Barbara Fetterman. He was born in Wayne County, OHIO.

Jesse and his wife, Mary Charlotte [Sayles] Fetterman became the parents of three sons, as follows:
1) Clarence William Fetterman (1858-1931).
2) John Cassius Fetterman (1860-1922).
3) Albert DeForest Fetterman (1872-1919).

Jesse Fetterman died in Sioux Valley Township, Union County, South Dakota, where he owned a farm. Jesse is buried beside his wife, Mary Charlotte [Sayles] Fetterman, in the Riverside Cemetery, Akron, Plymouth County, Iowa.

NOTE: Akron, Iowa, is located directly across the Big Sioux River from Union County, South Dakota.
