Mary Hoffman McDonald, 85, died Oct. 11, 2010, at her home in Kansas City, Mo. She was born March 23, 1925, in Enterprise, Ks. A graduate of The University of Kansas, she and her husband Bill McDonald made their homes in Osborne and Wichita, Ks., Scottsdale, Az., and Kansa City, Mo. Mary would be embarrassed to have this printed in the newspaper, but during a lifetime of competitive amateur golf she hit six holes in one. She was a frank and funny lady. Her children Carrie, John and Drew McDonald, their families and Dave the Dog will gather this fall at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Enterprise, Ks., to celebrate her life.
