Mrs. Mattie Barrs Jarriel Hill, 97, died Tuesday, August 2, 2003, at Tara Nursing Care in Thunderbolt. The Tattnall County native lived in Collins many years before moving to Brunswick over 30 years ago. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and retired from Brunswick Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Hill was a member of the Glyndale Baptist Church. Dhe was the widow of John L. Jarriel. Steve Jarriel and Buford Hill.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services were held Wednesday, August 3 at p.m. at Cedar Creek Cemetery near Collins with Rev. Charlie Cooper officiating.
Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, was in charge of the arrangements.
