Reason Shaffer, aged twenty-six, the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Alman Shaffer, who resides near Rivare, died yesterday at noon, at the home of his parents, after an illness of several months, death resulting from dropsy and heart failure. Mr. Shaffer was one of the most popular young men of Rivare and his loss is mourned by many. The funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 at the M. E. church at Rivare and interment will be made in the Mount Tabor cemetery.
