Mrs. Edward Tew

Mrs. Tew, widow of Edward Tew, died suddenly at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hall, in Cumberland Valley, on Friday. It is supposed that Mrs. Tew went into the kitchen sometime during the night to make the fire and sat down in a chair to rest, for when her daughter went downstairs in the morning she found her sitting in the chair dead. She was born in England about 68 years ago. Her husband died in 1899. Six children survive her.** Funeral services were conducted on Sunday by Rev. Barney. Interment was made in the Sweet Root Cemetery.

Note: Mrs. Hall is A.K.A. Bessie May (Morris) Hall Tew; Theodore "Ted" Tew's second wife.

Correction: Edward died on October 19, 1900.

**7 children
