IN MEMORY OF MY DAD

If I could write a story

It would be the greatest ever told

Of a kind and loving father

Who had a heart of gold

If could write a million pages

But still be unable to say, just how

Much I love and miss him

Every single day

I will remember all he taught me

I'm hurt but won't be sad

Because he'll send me down the answers

And he'll always be MY DAD

DEAR FATHER

We love you Dear Father, and this will always be,

You filled our lives with love so unselfishly,

A father's love is special, and unique in every way,

And seems to grow stronger with every passing day.

You gave so much and asked so little in return,

You taught us how to live our lives by being strong and stern.

Whenever we needed you, you were always there,

To put our burdens on your shoulders for all of us to bear.

We kept saying we wouldn't trouble you and then,

A crisis came and then we ran right back to you again.

We always found you waiting to lend a helping hand,

With a loving smile and eyes that said "I understand".

When as a child you seemed to us to be so strong and tall,

Then as we grew older, you never changed at all.

And now that you have left this life that was full of love and giving,

We just want to thank you, Dear Father, for giving us the life that we are living.

IN LOVING MEMORY DAD

He never looked for praises,

He was never one to boast,

He just went on quietly working,

For the ones he loved the most.

His dreams were seldom spoken,

His wants were very few,

And most of the time his worries,

Went unspoken too.

He was there....a firm foundation,

Through all our storms of life,

A sturdy hand to hold on to,

In times of stress and strife.

A true friend we could turn to,

When times were good or bad,

One of our greatest blessings,

The man that we called Dad.

REMEMBER ME

To the Living, I am gone.

To The Sorrowful, I will never return.

To the angry, I was cheated.

But to the happy, I am at peace,

And to the faithful, I have never left.

I cannot be seen, but I can be heard.

So as you look in awe at a mighty forest

and its grand majesty--remember me.

As you look upon a flower and

admire its simplicity--remember me.

Remember me in your heart,

your thoughts, your memories of

the times we loved.

The times we cried, the times we fought,

the times we laughed.

For if you always think of me,

I will never be gone.
