Funeral services for Candiss Carter Dunn were held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 2, 2010 in the White Oaks Memorial Chapel, Oakdale, Rev. Jerry Miller officiated. Committal services followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Candy, 54, of Oakdale entered eternal rest on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 in Oberlin. She was born on July 21, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio to the union of Thomas and Mary Carter. She was employed by the Teacher's Pet and Service Office Supply in Oakdale for 16 years. She was a Baptist by faith. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Her parents, Thomas and Mary Carter, precede her in death.
Those left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Chrissy Johnston and husband, David of Oakdale; one son, Thomas Dunn of Oakdale; one grandson, Hunter Johnston of Oakdale; stepfather, Jim Haines of Orlando, Florida; stepfather-in-law, Allen Mancil of Laurinburg, North Carolina; two sisters, Cathi Fryar and husband, Dick of Ringgold, Georgia and Janet Grice of Orlando, Florida; cousin, Tommy Allen of Lafayette, Georgia; sister-in-law, Linda Dunn of Laurinburg, North Carolina; one brother in-law, Darryl Dunn of Laurinburg, North Carolina and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services were under the guidance of White Oaks, Oakdale
