Lt. Vinovich died of a Cerebral Hemorrhage in Texas on 5-18-1945 while serving as a bombing instructor in Midland on B-17s. He had been ill for six weeks.

He is the son of Mrs. Martha Vinovich of 1320 Starr Street in Peoria, Illinois, and he attended Manual Training H.S., and was in the Air Corps by March of 1942. Lt. Vinovich flew in a B-17G called "Kiplings Error 111" for 27 missions, and received two Distinguish Flying Cross'.

He does leave two sisters, Mrs. August Simpson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Mrs. Dorothy Merrit of Peoria, and four brothers, Stephen and Ralph of Peoria, Pfc. Emil Vinovich of the Army Air Corps, and Pvt. Theodore Vinovich with the Army in Belgium.
