Christy's brother Duncan McDonald is buried in Lubbock, Texas (7435710)
Rev. J.H. Hartman was called upon
yesterday afternoon to officiate at the
burial service of Mrs. Christiann Gillis,
who had lived the four years past north
of Spiritwood. She and her husband came
there from Nova Scotia four years ago,
and three years ago her husband died
and was the first to be buried in
Highland Home Cemetery northwest of
this city. Mrs. Gillis was 55 years old
and died of cancerous affliction. Her
remains were placed by the side of those
of her husband. There are two young
children, a boy and a girl, left orphans.
They will be taken in charge by relatives
who we have no doubt will do all in their
power to fill the places of the deceased parents.
