Hannah was the daughter of Joseph N Dickinson and Mary Ann Corwin Dickinson. She was the granddaughter of Thomas Dickinson and Maria Lowe Dickinson. She married Benjamin F. Bruce , October 6, 1870, he lived in the Ridgeway, Ohio community until his death September 30, 1885. To this union were born four children:

Clara Bruce Shellhouse
Frank Bruce
Nelson Bruce
Hannah was a member of the M E Church for 25 years.
The funeral was held at the M E Church and was conducted by pastor Rev J. W. Horne. Burial was made in Ridgeway Cemetery.
