Elouise Minton, 86, of Chattanooga, died on Monday, Aug. 23, 2010, at her home.

She was a member of Freedom Worship Center in Soddy Daisy. She was a prayer warrior for many people in the community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Lennie Sivley; sister, Edith McCary; great-granddaughter, Natalie Sitton.

She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Jesse C. Minton; daughters, Carolyn (Robert) Turner, Patsy (James) Elrod, June Phillips; brother, Grady Sivley, of Birmingham, Al.; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 26, at the Freedom Worship Center in Soddy Daisy with the Rev. Mike Battles officiating.

Her family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. on Wednesday, and after 11 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will follow then service at Hamilton Memorial Garden.
