She passed away eight days after her sister Martha.

Services for Irene Rosette Halsey, 68, 204 E. Madison Ave., Norfolk, were conducted Monday at 10:30 a.m., at the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall. David Huntwork officiated, and burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Marlyn Halsey, Darold Longacre, Monty Longacre, Dick Tannehill, Jack Tannehill, Dean Wolff and Don Wolff.
Mrs. Halsey died March 21 at a local hospital. She was born Oct. 5, 1918, in Madison County to the late Herman and Hattie Gottberg Zessin.
She married Lee Halsey on Nov. 9, 1936, at Stanton. They farmed in the Madison and Norfolk area until 1959 when they moved into Norfolk.
Mrs. Halsey was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Her Husband preceded her in death as did two sisters and one brother.
Surviving are two sons and one daughter, Larry Halsey of Wymore, Jerry Halsey of Norfolk and Linda Stewart of Lincoln; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother and one sister, Albert Zessin of Lincoln, and Marie Utley of Arkansas.
