Aloysius served as a Private First Class, 48th Infantry Battalion, 7th Armored Division, U.S. Army during World War II.

He resided in Erie County, New York prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on March 13, 1942 at Fort Niagara, Youngstown, New York. He was noted as being employed as a bridge tender and also as Single, without dependents.

Aloysius was "Killed In Action" during the war and was awarded a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart.

Son of Aloysius and Viola M. Gonsowski.

PFC., C Company, 48th Armored Infantry Battalion, 7th Armored Division. Residing in Buffalo, Erie, New York, he entered the military on March 13, 1942 at Fort Niagra, New York. Sacrificing his life app 2 Km NE of Overloon, Holland earning a Purple Heart and Bronze Star.

His remains were discovered in 1977 near Kamphoefweg 6, Overloon, Holland. Also discovered in 1977 was the remains of Pfc. George Renda. The remains of Pfc. Robert Whitley were discovered in 1970.
