James Ottice NEILL passed away at his home near Bradley, Friday afternoon, Dec. 31, 1926, aged 58 years and 2 days; pneumonia was the cause of his death.
He is survived by a widow, three daughters, viz; Josephine, Carrie and Ernestine; two sons, Frank Bell THOMPSON and Reuben THOMPSON, two brothers, Will NEILL of Lindsay and Sam NEILL of Alex, and three sisters, Mrs. J.G. LEONARD, Oklahoma City, Mrs. Guy SMITH, Dallas, Texas and Mrs. E.M. MURDOCK, of Alex.
Deceased was a native of Tennessee but he had lived in the vicinity of Lindsay a number of years. he was a farmer but lately he has been associated with his brother, Sam in the hardware and furniture business at Alex; Sam however has been in active charge of the business.
"Ott" NEILL as he was called by his friends, of whom he had many, was a man of generous disposition, a bale fellow, well met.
The funeral was held Sunday afternoon, interment in the Erin Springs cemetery; the services were conducted by Rev. J.W. TREVETTE, pastor of the Lindsay Methodist church.
