passed away Saturday night in Mercedes.
He is survived by his wife Christina Fernandez Rivera of Mercedes; two sons Samuel Fernandez III, Isaiah Fernandez; four daughters Dominique Fernandez, Samantha Fernandez, Alexis Fernandez, Delilah Fernandez; his parents Mr. & Mrs. Samuel Fernandez of Mercedes; his maternal grandmother Paula Rangel of Alamo; also surviving are three sisters Veronica Fernandez, Diana Fernandez, Margarita Fernandez.
Visitation will begin Tuesday with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mercedes. Interment will follow at Mercedes Memorial Restlawn.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Garcia & Trevino Funeral Home of Mercedes.
