When about 15 months old his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Watts came to Bond county and located on a farm near Mulberry Grove. Mr. Watts was married December 26, 1875 to Sarah A. Elam, who died April 4, 1881 leaving one daughter, Mrs. C.E. Dority of Mulberry Grove.
Mr. Watts was again married January 1, 1883 to Mary Wherle, who with five children, Mrs. Lillie Gau and Dana Watts of Greenville and John, Clarence and Ed of Mulberry Grove survive. Mrs. Jack Sellers of Butler and Mrs. Eli Walker of Mulberry Grove are sisters of the deceased.
Interment was at Mulberry Grove cemetery.
